New Hartford, NY, April 17, 2019– Gilroy Kernan & Gilroy, Inc. (GKG) of New Hartford, New York has announced an expansion of its professional team with Crystal Graves joining the Leadership Team as Chief People Officer, a new role for the firm.
With the addition of this executive level position, GKG will continue to reward, recruit and retain top talent that is aligned with its growth and development initiatives. Graves will play an integral role in building a proactive recruitment system while leading and managing the firm’s team member experience. She will also be charged with developing the firm’s first HR Consulting department.

Graves brings over 20 years of experience in human resources management. Prior to joining the GKG team, Crystal held various HR supervisory positions at Lithia Motors, Inc. (Carbone Auto Group) where she implemented results-driven strategies that supported the Talent/Recruitment team and managed relationships with corporate directors and managers to source, identify and place top talent within their given market(s). She holds her designation as a Senior Professional in Human Resources from the HR Certification Institute and has several affiliations and recognitions in Human Resource Management.
In the community, Graves has been honored with several awards for her dedication and involvement. She is the Treasurer for the Rome Youth Hockey Association, past Board Member for the Friends of the Arc Foundation, and has been an active member of the American Heart Association and United Way of the Valley and Greater Utica Area. A Rome native, Graves currently resides in Rome, NY.
